Dancers Are Athletes Too.

For those of you who love to dance, FitStudio O2, Westlake Women’s Personal Fitness and Alisa’s Dance Academy have teamed up to bring you a combination of excellence in fitness and dance with the FitStudio O2, FitDancers Program. We feel that dancers are incredible Athletes and it is important to offer Smart programs to keep our dancers Healthy, Fit and Safe. The FitDancers program was designed to educate dancers and give them the necessary tools needed to be strong and healthy athletes. This program combines several important components of Fitness Training which include Pilates, Nutrition, Cardio Training, Muscular Strength/Endurance Training and Functional Training.

FitDancers – 4 Week Program
Dance training does not stop just at dance. With the rigorous training of dancers it is important to continue your training with Pilates, Nutrition, Cardio, Strength and Functional Training. This combination of Fitness will give dancers the tools needed to stay healthy, strong and assist with injury prevention.

Pilates for Dancers
Pilates improves and restores the dancer’s muscles and movements adding strength and agility without injury. It also focuses on core strength, flexibility, alignment and posture which are essential to dance. Pilates is the number one choice for dancers to continue their training.
Nutrition for Dancers (Athletes)
Dancers are athletes too and nutrition is a vital component to a dancers training. An information meeting with a Registered Dietician and a FitStudioO2 Nutrition and Exercise Manual will be given during this program.
Cardio, Muscular Strength/Endurance and Functional Training for Dancers
Dancers need Cardio, Strength and Functional Training just like they need Dance Training. It is important for dancers to keep fit and strong to prevent injury from their rigorous dance workouts. This portion of the program will include an initial 30- minute Fitness Assessment which will provide your trainer the information needed to design a program specifically for your fitness goals. After your Trainer has designed a program just for you, your Trainer will train you for two 30 – Minute Private Personal Training sessions and monitor your progress. (appointment only)
